Double-y Dedicated

We did a double baby dedication in Santa Rosa a few weeks ago. We dedicated Lily and Graham at the same time with my childhood pastor Dan at Hope Chapel. He dedicated both Natalie and me as babies in LA and also did both of our weddings. Very special history. We were excited to commit our parenting of Graham and his future to the Lord. A special time for our family.

Lydia's 3rd

Just some quick favorites of my sweet niece's 3rd birthday party this weekend at Pump It Up. She is a sensitive little soul, but loved having her little friends all around her and jumping with her Papa. She's nearly as big as Cosette now.

Babyness

I have just started trying to develop my own photography style. I was encouraged to think of 3 words that represent my style and try to shoot with those in mind. My first word is "essence." I want to capture the essence, or heart, or truest part of the subject or moment or emotion.

Here I'm going for Graham's babyness. He is 9 months and quickly outgrowing his baby days. Babyness is so fleeting - the soft squishy pudgy body, everything in the mouth, the crawling, the curiosity. It's all so special.
