Bathroom Time

These are from a recent bubble bath. It's a great indoor activity on a rainy afternoon, especially now that we have a huge tub in the master bathroom.

 Cosette and her potty attempts. She is not very consistent, plus she always has to bring too many toys along. It gets messy.

 There's nothing Cosette loves more than hugging and patting her baby. 

Walrus Whiskers

What I love about a day at home with no agenda is the spontaneity that doesn't usually come naturally to me. The family functions better when I have things all planned out, but sometimes it's fun to just follow the thoughts and imaginations of the children.

At breakfast we were discussing which animals God made. Some are for land and others for the sea. Then we remembered that some animals can be on land and in the water! How exciting. This lead us to making walrus tusks out of straws. They found this very amusing. Next we needed whiskers. I'm pretty sure no walrus has ever had kitty whiskers like these, but Jackson and Cosette thought they were awesome.

Cosette has developed an appetite for climbing everything and escaping from anywhere. Here she shows off some of her moves and her walrus features.

 She made this face for a long time. I have approximately 8 shots of her making this crazy face. It's a favorite.

It is nice to be at home, but by 10:30 we absolutely had to get out and do something. Restlessness settles in pretty quickly in this house.
