Park Play - Part 1

The weather turned beautiful this week and we hit some local parks as a family. It's getting really fun now that Jackson can play on the little kid play structures (with a lot of help so that he doesn't take a big nose dive). I'm envisioning a hot summer full of running around outside once my Little Man is fully walking. We're enjoying the baby steps along the way as he learns to walk and explore.

Crawling in the tube and wearing new shoes. Well, he wouldn't really wear them. When I put them on, he just stares at his feet and flaps them until the shoes come off.
He's looking so grown up to me.

Really getting into the swinging now. He even leans into it to get more momentum.
Showing off the only 2 teeth he has.
 Practicing

 Doesn't want the hat on.

 I love these guys!!!

Our Little Gnome

We think Jackson looks like a gnome in this PJ outfit. I just want to squeeze him!

Kitchen Helper

Jack loves the cupboards and fridge.
 Standing and reaching
 Taking stock of the goodies
 Attacking the straws
He makes a bee-line for the fridge whenever it's open. Luckily he hasn't figured out how to open it himself...yet.
 Choosing the mustard.

Rainy Day/Birthday Weekend Project

Dan had the WHOLE day off yesterday (Saturday) which hasn't happen...well, I can't remember it ever happening since his new job started. We wanted to take advantage of the day, but it was so rainy that neither of us felt like getting out. We decided to work on a project that I'd been dreaming of for a while, redoing our bedroom dresser. I already had the materials, so that made it easy to get started.

The Before: In college I bought an old dresser, painted it black, changed out the hardware, and then added a beach scene on the front to match my black desk that someone else had painted with a beach scene. I remember being proud of how it turned out. I still like it, but it's time for a change.
Close up of the before painting.
 Jackson "helped" a lot
 More helping
 Trying to get the drill
We took the party to the garage, which we recently cleaned up so it actually had enough space to work on a project.
Jack was pinned while we painted, but got board and needed company.
First coat of paint drying and we were ready for some birthday weekend nachos (Dan's birthday request, not my idea)
Yes, the 2 of us finished off this whole plate and then skipped dinner because we'd had enough calories for the rest of the weekend, plus we were stuffed.
Another coat of paint and adding the decals, and tada. Done in one day!

Stack Em Up, Knock Em Down

One of the numerous games we play that is funny for no reason and could go on forever before he gets sick of it.

Stool-Walker

Just today Jack started using this step stool as a walker. It makes me so nervous because it looks like he's going to crash on his little face.
Using an actually baby walker, but not good in reverse.
And finally, using his little car. He can only go backwards on this one.

There...about 10 posts later, not really in the right order, I'm all caught up with the present. So many fun videos, I just had to share them all.

Bumping Down

Jack is playing on the stairs at Grandma's house. He loves all of the new games that a different house brings. I am on the phone with Dan while filming, so I'm saying kind of random things.
