As the due date on Saturday May 8th draws near, the baby is taking his sweet time getting ready to come. The doctor is already using the word "induction" because of how unprepared for delivery the baby and my body are, even though we haven't passed the due date yet. Of course labor is so unpredictable and my situation could change at any minute, but if things stay as they are, the baby may need some help getting here. Everyone is still perfectly healthy, so that's great. We're just praying that labor will start naturally and we don't need the drugs to get it going!
They also think that our little guy will be a small baby, maybe under 7lbs. We'll see if that guess is correct. Any way it does down, we'll have a baby to hold within 2 weeks, so we're still really happy and excited.
Dan is working a lot of hours in preparation for taking a week off to be home with me and the baby. This is his last week of working 2 jobs, praise the Lord, but he'll probably have to devote a lot of time next week to training his replacement. Luckily his work is understanding and he can be gone if he needs to when the baby comes.
